I was very fortunate to work alongside Ivy at two different automation sites. Ivy has one of the greatest work ethics and there is no issue too big for her to conquer. Looking forward to complete many more sites with her!

My project focuses on visualizing mircoenvironemnts of biological tissue with single-cell resolution using two-photon excitation microscopy. Through the Marini lab's patented ICTYE clearing process we see increased resolution of depth in microscopy from 800 microns to 8 millimeters. Current staining methods take slices and image in 2D. However information above and below as well as the stroma and microenvironment is lost with slices. The ICTYE clearing methods allow us to know what happens in 3D so we get information on a big picture leve and allows us to compare regenerated to normal muscles. The ability for scientists and clinicians to improve regeneration of muscle tissues presents a tremendous opportunity in the field towards our understanding of organ regeneration. Show less
