Element of the ML core in the Review Index API team. Together with another colleague, we were responsible for the development of a just in time clustering algorithm (in Python). This data was stored as Elasticsearch documents. Used both the high-level and low-level python client for Elasticsearch at proficient level. Developed a CI pipeline using GitHub actions, and pytest, for integration testing, with docker containers. Developed also a Pipedream workflow to register API requests results. I was also responsible for refactoring code and optimising algorithm performance regarding both CPU and RAM usage. Some techniques included making judicious choice of design patterns, optimising use of data structures (considering time complexity), pass-by-assignment, using a code profiler like scalene for smaller examples, and real-time monitoring in Lens(a k8 IDE) and Grafana for real production like examples, and management of garbage collection(through gc python module). I also developed a Redis based feature that would act as a backup and alleviate the case of race-conditions. I have also helped develop NLP based models, using HuggingFace Transformers package, and also PyTorch and PyTorch Lightning for more precise modelling and fine tuning of models. Responsible for developing the evaluation pipeline (Cross Validation). All work was developed in a remote setting. Show less
