Through my role as a peer mentor at UCSB's Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), I was able to assist over 7,000 first generation, income eligible EOP students in graduating successfully and providing resources to aid in student retention. I developed event planning, communication and leadership skills through the planning and coordinating events often in collaboration with other student organizations, campus departments, and local Isla Vista businesses.
