Ivana has worked at Nonsuch High School for Girls in Cheam for over 9 years and in this time has had a huge impact on the school and has helped transform the way we deliver our careers education programme. She is a joy to work with and is definitely a ‘can do’ person who makes things happen. She is always very professional and approachable, which is important when working with younger students. Ivana is a highly experienced Careers Advisor, Personal Development Coach, has NLP qualifications and also works with adults transitioning careers, and she puts all this experience to good use with the students. Alongside her 121 guidance meetings with Y11 and Y12 students she implemented and runs many unique sessions to either small groups, whole classes or full year groups, including: Small group confidence and motivation sessions for students identified as needing extra encouragement and support, Full year group presentations to Y9 students on ‘Choosing GCSE’s’ and also presentations to parents during the parents GCSE option evening, 10-minute parent and student career guidance meetings during parents’ evenings, Higher Education workshops delivered to each of our Y11 classes which also includes ‘How to choose A Levels’, CV writing workshops for Y12 students about to undertake work experience, Ivana is highly professional, organised and enthusiastic and her knowledge of everything career related is outstanding and she ensure that her guidance is always up-to-date in an ever-changing world. Regular feedback from students rates her guidance meetings as ‘outstanding’ and she quickly gains the trust and respect of students. At the start of the year around 70% of our Y11 students request a career guidance meeting. Once the meetings start in September and those students start to feedback to their peers we are inundated with requests for a meeting from the remaining 30% who originally felt they did not need guidance. By the end of each year around 98% of our Y11 cohort have asked for a guidance meeting and I think this is a great testament to Ivana’s knowledge and how she is able to relate to and guide students during key transitional periods. At the end of a guidance meeting Ivana always sets goals for students and asks them if they would like a follow up email a few weeks later to see how they are progressing and to give further encouragement, she really does go above and beyond! Ivana really is a great asset to Nonsuch and goes above and beyond her role as a ‘careers advisor’. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Ivana and believe she would be an asset to any organisation.

I have worked with Ivana for many years in her capacity as a Careers Adviser. During this time, I have never failed to be impressed with her dedication, integrity and kindness. Ivana works with a large number of students and staff at Cheam High School, developing strong relationships with everyone she comes into contact with. She is highly organised and professional at all times and quickly gains the trust of those she supports. Ivana is well-read around her area of expertise and frequently attends careers related conferences and presentations. This helps to ensure that the advice and guidance she gives is up-to-date and relevant. Ivana is a flexible worker and is always prepared to alter her own working arrangements at short notice, which is a great help in such a busy school environment. Ivana is well known to many of the staff at Cheam, even though she is normally only in school once a week. This is testament to the fact that she works hard to get to know people and to develop professional relationships. As well as her dedication to her professional duties, Ivana has great personal qualities; this has made it a real pleasure to work with her. She shows enormous compassion and is able to calm difficult situations. Most importantly in a school the size of Cheam, Ivana has demonstrated a great sense of humour.

Ivana is an incredibly useful resource for anyone looking to gain guidance in their career or life. Ivana's questions encourage her clients to think more deeply about their challenges and provide the platform for an in depth discussion about what could be the next best step. I highly recommend Ivana as a career coach and mentor.
