  USINDO is a bi-national non-governmental organisation dedicated to deepening U.S. - Indonesia strategic partnership and mutual understanding.As a program associate at the Jakarta office, my work mainly involves the following activities:- The research, planning, and implementation of open forums (otherwise known as a seminar or webinar) to discuss topics pertaining U.S. - Indonesia economic relations, trade and investment, politics, and security. These events are attended by members of the two governments, the private sector, experts, scholars, as well as the general public- Carry out research and provide reports on policies regarding energy and natural resources, foreign policy, and events in the global stage (such as geopolitical rivalry) to aid the organisation in designing programs- Assist in the management of stakeholder engagement programs, including strategic dialogues on trade and investment and executive meetings on specific sectors- Work with the team to write grant proposals to private foundations and federal government in the fields of education, journalism, and trade- Construct daily report of U.S. and Indonesian national and economic news to be posted on USINDO’s social media accounts- Assist in managing the partnership of U.S. universities with LPDP with the aim of increasing the number of Indonesian students pursuing further education in the U.S.- Take part in the interview and screening process of applicants looking to take part in the organisation's cultural or educational exchange programs- Attend and take notes to provide a report on seminars or meetings- Designing and constructing the newest USINDO website on Wix- Planning and designing social media posts to promote upcoming events or announcements

  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia hosted an event called 'Multi-Stage Negotiation Simulation: The 9th Expanded ASEAN Maritime Forum' in November 2017, which took place at the Centre for Education and Training of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SESPARLU). In this event, students from across Indonesia are grouped to represent different countries and international organisations alongside experienced Indonesian diplomats. We were assigned to write, present, and discuss solutions to the issues that were provided to us (which were primarily regarding the South China Sea dispute).
