I'm part of the Perception Robotics department. We're building the Robotic Pick & Pack stations in Ocado's CFCs. My focus is on the 2D and 3D computer vision algorithms that power the platform - development, analysis and production readiness, robustness. Occasionally I also contribute to the integration of the Robotcic Picking platform with the rest of Ocado systems. Most notably, we're using OpenCV, Tensorflow, ROS (C++, Python, Java). Fredhopper is a SaaS solution for e-Commerce search and navigation. I've been responsible for development of search quality improvements (most notably - support for (de)composition of agglutinative languages), as well as a project aiming to automatically provide users with insight on how to optimize their product catalogs.Since 2016 I am the lead developer on a project aiming to deliver personalized recommendations to end users, updated in real time based on their activity. Most notably, I worked on Intellogo, a platform providing publishers with an easy to use recommendation platform, able to handle various types of content - from website articles to books. I have been involved in building both the recommender engine - experimentation, validation and implementation - as well as data processing.I joined the company as an intern and over time grew to be a senior engineer and be responsible for mentoring new teammates. For the first two and a half years I worked on the B3 Publishing platform, which consisted of an Adobe AIR-based desktop client and a few server components (written in Java SE) for heavy processing. At certain points in time I have been responsible for developing the desktop client, the server-side API and database, as well as the job scheduler and worker components, which handled the heaviest processing loads. I was also responsible for maintaining the continous integration process, as well as implementing automation tools for the operations team.
