I have worked with Ivan for about 8 months now and I am constantly presently surprised to what he brings to the table. I was particularly impressed by Ivan’s ability to handle even the toughest of writing assignments effortlessly. That skill often takes years to develop among, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to him. He has managed to humanize even the most mundane article. I’ve rarely seen anyone embrace and embody writing like Ivan. I’ve watched him constantly look for new challenges to tackle, like CXL’s white paper. I’ve loved my experience working with Ivan, and I know that anyone looking to hire or work with him will, too. It’s rare that you come across standout talent like Ivan.

As a Director, Partner and Chief Editorial/Content Officer of the company, my role is to drive Rightwiz's content writing business forward and this means directing our content writing expertise to help clients conceptualise their intended purposes into suitable formats that match with a particular campaign or mission. I lead everything from planning, writing, editing, proofreading including designing and publishing the said material onto the right channels for our clients. To that end, I also advise on printing parameters when the project requires physical printing outputs. My experience is quite literally the whole gamut of content production. Briefly, this includes crafting professional business contents such as books, corporate profiles, marcomm related collateral (eg. press releases, invitation letters) to periodicals like newsletters, blogs, reports etc. I have also been engaged as an Editorial Consultant or Content Director where I contribute by tailoring a long term editorial solution for our clients that fits their objective, intended target audience, resources and budget. This is a strategic role that complements a client's quest for better branding and market positioning for their business. As delivery of professional content hinges also on the value of trust and integrity, clients have come to me to pen and edit confidential correspondences on their behalf. This has been done under a strict adherence to the Non-Disclosure Agreements so we abide by the principles of honouring the client's expectations in sealed written terms & conditions. Finally, given the breadth of our services and the understanding of selected market disciplines and verticals, Rightwiz has also been engaged as an informal PR/Communications vendor. The scope of our activity here encompasses formulation of messages and media relations. Show less

I co-Founded TTien Media Group as a property media and publishing company with our homegrown property magazine called homefinder. My role as the de facto Editor-in-Chief was essentially to lead in the production of editorial contents encompassing conceptualising, planning, writing, editing, proofreading, verifying designs & proofs and publishing. In this capacity, I have worked with both freelancers and full time writers and designers. Since inception, homefinder led the way in its era for versatility, usefulness and stylish publication of property related information. The magazine had the propensity to tell stories from acute industry angles to the mass market readers. homefinder was a great launching pad for many property pundits who were later made more popular in Malaysia's real estate scene. At the same time, the company has on many occasions participated in real estate exhibitions, seminars and conferences both locally and abroad. The good ties of the company with the industry also paved the way for a better understanding of the marketplace, which translates to valuable contents in the magazine for the readers. We took pride in producing original contents from the time it began. Show less

BlueTAG was a company which dealt with people friendly products such as natural skincare, organic hair care, ergonomic furniture and flavored organic rice. My role was essentially to help export and market such products into Australia, Singapore and Sydney. Within six months of joining the company, I managed to secure the distribution of Sanctum Natural Skincare from Byron Bay of Australia into SaSa Cosmetics' chainstore in Singapore. I also organised a training session for more than 15 beauticians at SaSa's headquarters conducted by Sanctum's official trainer from Sydney. This was the first and most comprehensive training of its kind by any skincare vendor at SaSa Singapore. With the recommendation of a PR consultant, Sanctum was also reviewed by several fashion magazines without any advertising. Other products carried by our company were Giovanni Natural Haircare from the US, Moll's ergonomic furniture for children from Germany and flavored organic rice from Thailand. In addition to that, BlueTAG was already an award winning company in Sydney in its first year of operations with a range of promising products recognised by the industry. Show less

I was engaged to manage the software development for both the Singapore and Malaysia offices of Kelly Services. Two modules made up the software i.e. Recruitment and Payroll. Among the key tasks of this role was to schedule and plan the development activities while keeping development on track, on schedule and with limited resources. These objectives were met within three months after many delays prior to my engagement. A phased development process together with a structured change request methods were also successfully implemented. Show less

way2work.com was the first company in Singapore to develop and deploy a Recruitment Application using the Application Service Provider (ASP) model for the HR industry. My role was to conduct a systems specification study with the subject expert (Founder of the company) and compile it into an Object Oriented user specifications format called the Rational Use Cases. Among our proud clients were the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore, EMC2, Ministry of Tourism Hong Kong, NetCel360 (part of Pacific Century Cyber Works by Richard Li in Hong Kong, the son of Li Ka-Shing). I was also involved in managing the operations of the company where I led the team alongside the Technical and Research Managers. In the same role, I also made product presentations to potential clients and key suppliers about our ASP model. I also represented the company to meet with our investing shareholders at official meetings. Show less

At the infancy of the Internet era in Malaysia, I was part of the young team assembled to build the first Internet portal for the Port Klang shipping community which ran on the company's electronic data interchange platform for the Port Klang Community System. I was responsible for understanding the end user requirements and compiling it as specifications for the technical team. The portal's main purpose was to publish the status of the Customs K1 and K2 forms for the shipping community. The portal also published other types of contents such as the mainstream Bernama News and information of interest from the public domain. As part of the young team, I was also given the responsibility to experiment with new technology platforms such as managing the production of the company's first multimedia presentation for the Asean Ports Association's Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
