Mariya Chincheva
Iva joined Walltopia as a summer intern and impressed us with her great energy and desire to both learn and walk an extra mile. She made it clear from her first day at work that she’s here to learn and develop and not just add a line to her CV. This is something we look for in all interns but it’s still rare to see to the extent that Iva proved. At first I had some doubts whether she would be a good fit to our internship programme as she was still a freshman and I wasn’t sure if she would have enough business knowledge and or be able to be part of a corporate structure with well defined rules and procedures. At the end of her internship I am happy I took the risk as she was not just able to quickly grasp any information but also find her way to complete any given task in an efficient and timely manner. Iva spent half of her internship in our Sales department where she supported one of our best sales people in her daily tasks (prospecting, cold emailing, administrating various documents, etc.) and helped the whole team with their work in a new CRM software we recently implemented. The rest of her internship she spent in the Marketing department where she worked on two big project-based tasks. The first one was a proposal on introducing a licensing option for one of our products and the second one was related to a yearly conference we organize. She worked on the ways we can enhance our sales strategy in terms of tickets and different packages to choose from. Last and just as important, Iva adapted very quickly to the team and showed she feels as an equal part of it, not just as intern who joined us for a while. In conclusion, I am sure Iva will be a great asset to any team and although she is still studying her leadership potential cannot be missed! ( And, just as important as all of the above, Iva has a great sense of humour and that makes working with her a real pleasure! )
