Since taking over the project, I managed to turnaround performance and achieved successful sign-off and acceptance of major milestones. I re-baselined the project to mitigate schedule slippage as well as identified new risks and issues and drew up a corrective action and mitigation plan. The Livestock Information Management System (LIMS) for the Southern African Development Community (SADC), a European Union (EU) funded project for the tracking, monitoring, and reporting of livestock related data (population, disease outbreaks, etc) in Southern Africa. Under my management the there was successful signoff of the SADC LIMS system - a database for the collection, collation, transfer, storage and analysis of livestock data and dissemination / sharing of information between the SADC Secretariat and Member States. In addition I initiated migration of the LIMS system to an enterprise architecture framework leveraging on Oracle 11g database technology and the .NET 4 framework. 2. The Botswana IEC Elections System upgrade project. The Elections System is an electronic system for management of the electoral process in Botswana for both Local and Central Government. I successfully led a development team in the expansion of the system as well as implementation of the security module. In addition I initiated expanding the scope of the project to make it an end-to-end electoral modernisation and automation enterprise solution; catering for all the phases of the Botswana Electoral process.
