My 7 years of work experience in ProNet remains one of the most fulfilling moments in my life. I always get an ecstatic feeling whenever I cast a glimpse at the rare significant contributions I have made to improving the lives of 5, 000 plus rural women in Ghana. The constant training and mentorship I gave to clients in the areas of livelihood skills and team building have not only empowered these women but it has equally prepared the grounds for me to establish Sobiaonline. This stemmed out of the motivation that, it is not only rural women who need these skills but also the teeming masses of unemployed youth in Ghana and beyond. The story dates back to 2012 when I volunteered as a facilitator under the TENI project in Ghana. This period exposed me to the realities job seekers face in the Ghanaian labour market. Upon completion of my service in 2012, I joined Pro-Net as a Project Officer in 2013. Having learned from the job market, I voluntarily offered support to interns and volunteers of the University for Development Studies. In the process, I became very successful helping interns to secure fulfilled careers by taking them through CV writing and other career guidance services and life skills. Since then, job seekers always contact me for job search and other career services support whilst at ProNet. The joy I drove from such fulfilling endeavours motivated the establishment of Sobiaonline, an employment search agency operating across Ghana. I started Sobiaonline whilst at ProNet and finally decided to officially resign and fully dedicate the next phase of my career to helping job seekers in Ghana and beyond. The greatest achievement here is that my experience as a project officer in Pro-Net has transformed me from a “Development Practitioner” into a “Career Practitioner” Show less
