- Assembled and calibrated instrumentation to measure deformations up to a 5-micron resolution. - Operated and monitored Shell Element Tester to complete a seismic pushover analysis of a shear wall. - Conducted independent research on 3D printed sensors to be used in the field and presented findings on a weekly basis to supervisors. - Derived 3D printed object material properties such as relaxation, cyclic loading behaviour, Young’s Modulus and failure patterns through tensile tests utilizing an Instron Universal Tester. - Completed a report based on findings, and resulted in the material being feasible as a load cell, and multi-directional deformation sensor, especially applicable for 3D printed models tested in wind tunnels or for large specimens.
