This is my first time, after years of working in the hospitality industry, that I have started working at a hotel! Serving drinks or waiting tables for 20+ guests and patrons an evening including exclusive clientele, utilising my friendly and charismatic attitude to provide the most professional service. Learning service etiquette and extended menus, wine lists and cocktail specifications to adapt the client experience to their wishes. All whilst balancing my workload during my final year of Law School!

To push myself to achieve at university in my extra-curricular endeavours, I decided to volunteer at Phoenix. In this role I assisted young people in English and Maths lessons and was able to form a strong rapport with individuals who saw me as a caring role model and trusted me to help them. I found this role to be a challenging new experience for me, having only previously worked with younger children to teach them outdoor survival skills. I was determined to get a part-time job to enable me to continue making my own independent income when I came to University. I was swiftly employed at a city centre cocktail bar where I was fully cocktail trained. With a new variety of customers and a much more strenuous working style that often involved shifts ending in the early hours of the morning, this role further developed my ability to stay focused and communicate well as a team. This role gave me the opportunity to express my entrepreneurial flair by creating new drinks and discussing supply with Brand Reps to expand the opportunities of the business.
