Pile casting (Cast in situ) and load test by O-cell method, Concreting of Substructure and superstructure construction supervision and quality control of 3.0m diameter cast-in-situ RCC piles of length varying from 62m to 77m with permanent steel casing by rotary boring method, base grouting, sonic logging test of pile shaft, Supervised the fabrication and installation of reinforcement, formwork, different embedded items, stressing and grouting of tendons. Besides, responsible for review of shop drawings, bar bending schedule, methodology for different components of the Structures, Construction of which is underway on National highway N1 at proximity of port city Chittagong, 950m long (120 viaduct+115+200x3+115) Pre-stressed Concrete Extra dosed Box Girder Bridge which is the first bridge of its kind in Bangladesh at the cost of US$ 87 million is being constructed by Major Bridge Engineering Corporation (MBEC) of China under FIDIC contract. Served as a Site Engineer under RPT (Rendel- Palmer- Triton) London, NEDECO (Netherlands) in association with Bangladesh Consultants Ltd. in JMBP in contract no-1, (5 km long) pre-cast segmental, post-tensioning bridge. During the above mentioned period I was responsible to supervise Segment production, Rebar check, Duct position check, Stressing works, Parapet Production, Erection of segment, Geometry control etc. a 5.056 km (128m viaduct+50+100x47+50+128m viaduct) long & 18.5m width multipurpose bridge with dual gauge railway tracks, power transmission line and high pressure gas transmission pipe line was consisted of 4 contracts and implemented under FIDIC conditions. JMBP, the single biggest project in Bangladesh by over 900 million US dollars, was supervised by multidisciplinary professional and nationals. The project was funded by WB, ADB, OECF (Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund) and GOB (Government of Bangladesh). The main bridge was constructed by a Korean contractor, Hyundai Engineering and Construction JV by post-tensioned segmental balanced cantilever technique. I inspected the pre-cast segment production including tendon profile & other embedded items, pre and post pour geometry, stressing & grouting of transverse tendons of the pre-cast segments for the main bridge (Contract No. 1). During the above mentioned period I was responsible to supervise Construction of Bridges with pile foundation, Culverts, Road works such as Geometry survey, Embankment construction, Pavement construction, Asphalt concrete, quality control of Pavement materials ,testing of bitumen, marshal test ,Slope protection works with Geotextile fabric and Gabion, Bill preparation etc. ADB aided Second Flood Damage Restoration Project (ADB Loan No. 0967) for RHD, to rehabilitate roads, bridges, culverts and other infrastructures severely damaged by 1988 flood across the country. Responsible for management of 12 major contracts covering reconstruction/rehabilitation works of over 20 km roads including national highway, 8 bridges 4 of which were permanent steel bridges totalling 130m in length with permanent steel casing, large culverts, massive flood protection works and other infrastructure in Sylhet zone.
