  As a research assistant I work on two articles for the project: the comparative study of water provision systems in the Bidi Bidi refugee settlement in Northern Uganda - as is commissioned by the Danish Refugee Council and Grundfos. This project also serves as a vehicle for further research into design as contextual inquiry and evaluation. Further work includes a guest lecture and workshop for the master course Socio-Technical Design.   In my master’s thesis I rethink the assessment of water provision systems in the Bidi Bidi refugee settlement in Northern Uganda with an applied design approach. The thesis analyses and evaluates the complex system from heterogenous aspects - social, technical and organisational - by utilizing a variety of methods including onsite workshops with local stakeholders. While pursuing this holistic perspective, it investigates the employment of design tools as contextual inquiry and demonstrates the use and value of them through a developed framework. The work is part of a bigger project as is commissioned and supported by The Danish Refugee Council and Grundfos.
