Isis is a force to be reckoned with. They are intelligent, compassionate, introspective, and caring. They deeply understand the nuance of what it means to design an experience - crafting something from beginning to end and creating not only an experience, but an ecosystem. I had the pleasure of managing Isis directly, and their commitment to growth and development, deep strategic thinking, and management of relationships was inspiring. They are a community connector, a designer of experiences, a strategist, and a culture carrier.

During my time at Black Girls CODE I had the honor and pleasure of working with Isis. Isis brought their heart and soul to work every single day. They not only were an amazing team player, but they were a seasoned professional as an event planner and executer. In addition to their technical project management skills, Isis is an inspirational and informed speaker. Whether they are speaking with eight year old girls or diversity and inclusion officers, they make an impact. I give Isis my highest recommendation and am grateful to have worked alongside them.

Isis is an integral part of our work at Black Girls CODE. They continue to create a safe and intentional space for staff to feel welcome. Isis had great success collaborating with Netflix on their original movie "Jingle Jangle." Isis created a program of student ambassadors, who took part in the video campaign for the release of the movie. They even coordinated celebrity guests for our Summer Hackathon. This is all to say that Isis knows exactly how to pull off an amazing event that is wholesome for our target audience. Isis also coordinated with Cold Stone Creamery. They invited an ice cream specialist to teach students how they can make their ice cream at home. It was a great turnout with over 300+ in attendance. This helped students and families find time to break away from their stressful schedules. In any work setting, I believe that Isis will bring charm and charisma, with an undoubted sense of professionalism. I adore their work ethic. And I adore their energy.

Employee Experience Manager

Jul 2021 - Sep 2022
I led Patreon's internal Community & Events, where I created and executed the engagement strategy for our hybrid teams located in our global offices. This involved project managing and leading virtual and in-person events, team offsites, creator-focused events, leadership engagement, onboarding, and our annual All Company gathering. I partnered directly with our People Partners, Executive team, Product Team, Workplace, Comms Team, and Creators on our platforms to deliver thoughtful programming that highlighted Patreon's unique culture and our commitment to our Core Values. I was passionate about creating intentional moments for collaboration and building lasting relationships among employees, which ultimately improved a sense of belonging and led to overall retention. I diligently tracked and measured data to quantify the impact and scalability of programming, providing insight and clarity to our Exec team. By using metrics, I took an iterative and agile approach to events, constantly seeking improvements. The programming I designed was informed by my experience and knowledge of DEI, ensuring that our community felt seen, valued, and able to bring their authentic selves and identities to work. I played a key role in planning and executing our company's D&I strategy, working closely with all teams within Patreon to deliver against this strategy. I led all Employee Resource Groups at Patreon, providing them with the structure and guidance needed to accomplish their OKRs, while also serving as a liaison between Exec and the groups. As such, I not only created the current ERG engagement strategy but also wrote the guidelines by which they operated. Show less

Community and Events Manager
-
Mar 2020 - Jul 2021
I spearheaded community events and engagements alongside partners to create virtual experiences and enrichments that served a global community of students, their families, and our stakeholders. I worked alongside our programs team to do outreach, create programs, manage partnerships, and build out unique opportunities for our community with global brands like Netflix, Nike, GM, The Born This Way Foundation, and more. As a champion for all things community, I also led initiatives that drove our internal culture forward and created a space for belonging to help with attracting and retaining top talent. I hosted the team's All Hands, planned offsites, created new engagement initiatives, and devised fun and unique ways for the team to connect while working from home. I was passionate about culture and team building. Being a seasoned public speaker, I also hosted talks, spoke at conferences, hosted lunch & learns, and more on a wide range of topics around DEI, equity in tech and STEM, and the importance of bridging the digital divide. These engagements raised brands awareness for BGC and netted donations of over 500K. Show less
