It is with pleasure that I write this recommendation for Ishani. As her Mentor for the LinkedIn Student Learning Ambassador program I worked closely with Ishani and I witnessed drive, passion and thoughtful execution of projects throughout the program. Ishani embraced the growth mindset and opportunity to flex her writing muscles in order to bring awareness to and engagement with LinkedIn Learning. However, Ishani steered away from merely completing the required tasks and instead challenged himself/herself to create, plan and implement a powerful online presence: reviewing courses, and sharing her learning moments for all to see. Ishani was a fantastic Ambassador, and would make a valued addition to any team!

Helped with fundraising and researching/organizing different grant programs using Excel spreadsheets in order to improve services for both clients and employees and to help my organization receive more funding overall. I also filled out grant applications for different foundations and wrote grant proposals/inquiry letters. I trained new interns in grant-writing techniques and in grant-researching methods. At times, I was responsible for creating budgets for my organization and for communicating with clients who needed assistance in finding temporary housing, legal affairs, and financial affairs. I created blogs which helped raise awareness on the importance of mental well-being in students, especially for students who are currently preparing for civil service exams in countries such as India. I also did research on symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression in students and looked for ways in which teachers and school faculty members can quickly identify these symptoms in order to have students get proper and necessary treatment. Over the summer I have worked as a Real Estate Student Assistant intern for the Department of Transportation in New York City and I have worked with database managers such as Sesame from which I updated old property records using Google Maps. I helped find the latitude and longitude coordinates of different property areas and I also helped in finding deed information in order to help legal attorneys do the closing work for property deals. I sometimes did fieldwork and went to different areas and boroughs of the city in order to attain specific information on DOT property and in order to make sure these properties are being managed responsibly in accordance to their legal permits. Took different courses on LinkedIn Learning to learn essential skills which are crucial when applying for different jobs/careers. Some of these skills included leadership, social media, strategic planning, data analysis, and human resources/administration. The LinkedIn Student Ambassador program allowed me to network with students from different parts of the U.S and gave me the opportunity to participate in various projects that involved promoting LinkedIn Learning. Overall, this program highly encouraged students like me to be lifelong learners in order to be prepared for the ever-changing workforce. Show less
