Re-enlistment into the Army National Guard to transition from E-5 (Sergeant) to O-1 (2nd Lieutenant) through the University of Washington Seattle's National Guard SMP Program. Receive mentorship from officers ranging from the ranks of Captain to Colonel. Shadow officers during a once-a-month drill weekend in order to learn large unit leadership/delegation skills, tactical efficiency, and effectiveness. Deploy in response to state/national disasters(Wildfire, Tsunami, Earthquake, Civil Unrest, etc.) as well as federal combat missions (Afghanistan, Africa, etc.). Assist with counter-drug operations throughout WA state partnered with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency). Train freshly enlisted soldiers by putting them in the most stressful and realistic scenarios possible in order to prepare them for whatever situation or obstacle they may encounter in the military and/or the civilian sector.
