The mission for Action Academy is to provide transformative, historically-informed and community-centered experiences for young people to develop their leadership and civic potentials to prepare them to facilitate positive change in their communities. This 10-week program will attract high school and college-aged participants through a combination of action-learning activities, simulations, group discussions, team exercises, lectures, case studies, and projects. Three learning modules (Mindset, Mojo and Mobilize) will provide students with a course map broken down into weekly instruction, activities and learned competences centered around history, civic engagement and leadership development.
