This job required great leadership abilities on an individual and team level. Encouraging, motivating, equipping, and empowering my team to work together in unity to create an atmosphere where people could experience God was the main goal. Being able to clearly and strongly communicate with different instrumentalists and vocalists from different cultures and backgrounds was also a skill that was required. Weekly setlists were created that were parallel to messages spoken by the pastor. Effectively planning, organizing, and executing were also required. Writing songs was also a requirement for this job. Mentoring and developing my team to walk in their fullest potential, not just musically but also in their everyday lives, was part of the goal.
