As the Desk Supervisor, I was in charge of the 20+ desk workers in the library, making sure they were trained for the job; arranged their schedule so as not to conflict with classes through a program called LibStaffer. On shift I kept the library in order: cleaning, organizing shelves, helping patrons find books and keeping the library generally quiet for patrons to work. Top quality customer service is taught so that one is able to serve tables, help guest find the right food and drinks around a changing menu, allergies and tastes, and be able to prepare the food as well.
