Fieldwork II rotation took place in Acute Pediatrics at Duke Hospital for a total of 3 months. I focused on feeding strategies to support infants with cardiac conditions as a specialty, however, I also observed hydrotherapy, infant massage, and rotated between the NICU, PICU, and PCICU. - Demonstrated safety with lines and leads management. - Lead caregiver education and training, specifically with emphasis on utilizing teach-back techniques and encouraging parent demonstration of learned skills. - Utilized therapeutic use of self and intraprofessional collaboration for quality treatment. - Administered the Peabody standardized assessment, scored and evaluated the results. - Lead intervention with children ages 0-21 yrs old with diagnoses ranging from cardiac conditions, TBI, genetic conditions, cancer, trauma and more. - Worked to address fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, feeding and/or global developmental delays with a strengths-based approach.
