I worked with Isabella at HashiCorp in a cross-department mentor/mentee internship setting. Working with Isabella is a breeze - she is open to learning new things, kind, hard working, engaged, aware, and intelligent, among so many other traits. I saw Isabella explore all facets of Engineering at HashiCorp, and her openness and willingness to learn about it all. I can wholeheartedly recommend Isabella as she moves forward in her career; any company would be lucky to have a person and employee like Isabella.

I worked on Verdant's Machine learning team under the director of machine learning. I wrote a pytorch classification model that differentiated between crops and weeds in the field. I also wrote a tool to help crop images to their bounding boxes from an object detection model. I then created a custom pytorch dataset to take in the cropped images from the above tool and used it to train a model. I participated in Google CSSI 2020. CSSI is a 4 week intensive computer science summer program for high achieving students. I completed an introductory project-based curriculum in Javascript processing taught by Google engineers. I created 20 individual projects using coding concepts like variables, data types, functions and classes. I collaborated with a partner to build a final project and then gave a final presentation of our project to Google employees and community leaders. I participated in Google CSSI 2020.
