  The Pacific Primate Sanctuary, Inc. is a not for profit organization who's main objective is to provide sanction to second world primates that have been kept as lab animals and pets, or displayed as an attraction. As an intern, my responsibilities consisted of cleaning and maintaining enclosures that housed a variety of primate species, preparing foods for the specific dietary restrictions, administration of medicines, and tending to a garden of mainly native Hawai'ian plants. Knowledge of primate behavioral ecology, primate physiology and anatomy, and Hawai'ian ethnobotany were required.
