During the Spring of 2019, I began a volunteer internship with Friends of the Elderly in Dublin, Ireland. As volunteers, we were involved in social activities in order to broaden communication skills as well as integrate and learn about traditional Irish Culture. The program was initially established in order to combat social isolation and loneliness felt within the elderly community by providing a support network and community.
