I write AP-style articles based on newsworthy events going on in a Top 80 market, including Kanawha County, WV, Cabell County, WV, Scioto County, OH, Floyd County, KY and more areas surrounding. Many articles I write end up on the trending area of the WOWK website and on Facebook. Another objective is the ability to promote articles through Facebook Business and TweetDeck services so there is a constant stream of content for readers.WOWK-TV is also affiliated with the Associated Press where we are tasked to find interesting articles sent down from AP and Nexstar Media Wire that would bring eyes on the website, Facebook page and Twitter account. With the support and flexibility of my teammates, 13 News is very regularly the first to have an article up with breaking news both on air and on the web.I have knowledge on how to effectively use ENPS, Anvato, WordPress, Latakoo, WeTransfer, Meta Business Suite, TweetDeck, Chartbeat, Google Analytics and more to boost pageviews and viewer retention.I also do occasional digital reporting on smaller, more niche topics, like Top 10 lists and culture pieces. I am required to download, rename, transcode, segment / edit CBS programs, local and national news programs, ad spots, commercials. For the ad spots and commercials, during the editing process, I adhere to the daily dub list so that the commercial will be played correctly on air later in the day or within the next couple of days. I also keep logs on the visual quality of the station and make detailed reports on when something with the program or the station goes wrong whether that be an external or internal factor. Show less
