  As an intern with the Center for Family Resources, I Co-managed the Thanks for Giving Program alongside the Vice President of Operations. In this position, I was an advocate for families who experience food insufficiency during the Thanksgiving break. As the main contact for over 100 food drives, I communicated the mission of The Center for Family Resources and enlisted the support of other organizations to join forces to serve Cobb county families. Coordinated logistics for truck routes to pick-up at 50 schools and donations from over 50 food drives across Cobb county. I represented the CFR at various community meetings to bring awareness to the financial struggle of low-income families. I learned about evidence-based approaches to breaking the cycle of poverty and attended the Cobb County Homelessness Forum. I observed the power of collaboration and the necessity of community partnerships in nonprofit mission achievement.
