Library strategy, implementation and support: ▪ Developing the strategy for library services across the Independent Institute of Education (IIE) in cooperation with the brands and the faculties. ▪ Driving this strategy and empowering national and site librarians to deliver on it. ▪ Promotion of new products and services that drive the technological edge of the libraries - including the management of relationships and vendor partners in this regard. Digital resources and technologically supported learning resource strategy: ▪ Driving the development and implementation of cost effective, efficient and scalable technology enhanced learning resources across all IIE brands and campuses which includes product evaluation and motivation. Library services: ▪ Ongoing development of policies and procedures in relation to library services including empowerment of librarians to offer these services and monitoring of the service provision. This includes managing an annual programme of training and documentation for librarians to support their services. Information service at the IIE: ▪ Providing a direct information service to the Independent IIE Heads of Programmes which includes empowering and supporting the development of their proficiency in the use of the materials and systems available.
