I had the opportunity to work with Irvine during the MSc. Innovation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship program. We worked together on several projects where his outstanding creativity, proactivity, and responsibility always added value to the final result and most importantly team cohesion. Irvine possesses a remarkable ability to perceive major challenges as unique opportunities to learn and grow, this mindset especially helped us during our collaboration with Schneider Electrics in Grenoble. He has the potential to succeed in any environment mainly if it requires high degree of adaptability and creativity.

Project: Uberization of the electrical distribution market value chain. Duration: 7 months The project aimed to create a disruptive business model (circular) and a new sales channel through a virtual marketplace that would connect end users and professionals of the electrical industry, from individual to national contractors. The marketplace would have also been a core elements of Scheider S.A future data collection strategy as a separate company (as a start-up). Within a team of 5 international students, we had 8 months move from a proof of concept to the design and creation of a functional peer to peer marketplace. Once the proof of concept approved, we built a complete business plan and an elevator pitch that have been presented and approved by the direct supervisors Andrea Donadel (Strategy VP) and Rahul Mehta (Strategy Director). Finally, the project was pitched by our supervisors to a Schneider partner Venture Capital. The highlights of this project were: - established a proof of business through in-depth market research (risk matrix analysis. benchmark analysis, SWOT analysis and other tools). - made and run a survey across 5 different targeted countries. - elaborated a get / keep / grow strategy based on survey results and face to face Q&A sessions. - applied team management and project management tools (Asana). - built a business plan for a seed funding pitch to a venture capital. - explored diverse marketing strategies for the different phases of development. - analysed and crossed data from internal and external ressources. - built and presented an elevator pitch to the supervisors and the program director. - collaborated with Capgemini Consulting in Grenoble for different workshops in oder to built the marketplace interface, usability and general UX/UI.
