I was recruited by MOCAP in order to establish an Italian base for the company’s international operations. I initially spent five months in the Telford-based UK office to learn about the company and the industry in which it operates, during which time I was tasked with selecting a location of the new Italian office, finding suitable premises, and starting the legal and administrative proceedings this involves. I relocated to Italy at this point, where I began working to grow the… Show more I was recruited by MOCAP in order to establish an Italian base for the company’s international operations. I relocated to Italy at this point, where I began working to grow the business. The initial growth was primarily achieved through a series of cross-channel marketing campaigns targeted at the existing customer base as well as new potential customers that I was able to identify. I attended various exhibitions throughout Italy, introducing MOCAP to the relevant industry sectors, increasing out brand awareness and strengthening our position in the market. During my time in MOCAP I was able to substantially increase the company’s market share, promoting them to the number one manufacturer and distributor of protection, masking and finishing products in Italy. While working for MOCAP I also obtained my Master’s degree in Business Management, which encompassed many aspects of running a successful business, such as the day to day running of an office, administrative and legal aspects of international import/export, setting up marketing campaigns, and customer service and post-sales support.
