    • Managing Editor, Ancient World Image Bank
      • Nov 2011 - Jun 2015

Executed all aspects of the 9000-image project’s operation, including research, image processing, digitization, file management, and community building. •Community Building—Increased public engagement on Flickr by capitalizing on their community of "Groups". Started the AWIB Group Pool which now has over 20,000 images and over 400 users who engaged with our content through comments and discussions relating to copyright issues and subject matter. Designed models for the next generation of the AWIB website which would be consistent with the ISAW brand, hosted internally and promoted across various social media platforms. •Digital Curation — Digitized different slide collections equaling roughly 700 slides and transferred all relevant information associated with the physical slides to the digital files. Ran a series of scripts to process all digital image files converting them into the requisite format for online publication and digital preservation. Researched every ancient site and artifact pictured in the database, edited the associated metadata fields for the image files, and prepared captions for the online publication of each image. •Contributor and User Outreach— Engaged potential contributors and handled the transfer and publication of their collections. Coordinated and oversaw the beginning stages of hosting the personal archaeological and art historical photographic collections of members of the ISAW community. Answered copyright and content questions pertaining to our collection from both contributors and users. •Pleiades Gazetteer- Contributed to the Pleiades online, open-source, and community-built gazetteer of the ancient world. Part of my work for AWIB was to ensure that all the images of ancient sites in the AWIB database were connected with their geographical entry in Pleiades, by a URI entered into their metadata. To this end I also created a number of new place entries with authoritative geographic points and basic information.
