Irfan is an outstanding analytical chemist. His technical expertise in analytical chemistry allowed him to quickly to stand up and optimize a series of LCMS assays needed for our projects. In addition, his vast expertise allowed him to investigate, troubleshoot and solve issues observed in range of assays. He works diligently to quickly turn around data for weekly SAR efforts, while also developing several new tier 1 ADME assays on our platform. He has a strong service oriented mindset and is one of the most hard working people in the Strateos organization. Irfan is always looking to improve processes and is a great team player. An invaluable employee.

As a colleague I have known Irfan for about six years. While working with him, I learned that he is a very knowledgeable analytical chemist and a great co-worker,also he is a kind of person who inspires others to be better. Irfan has a PhD in chemistry and he joined Alcala with his tremendous knowledge of analytical method development. He was hired as a chief scientist in method development. Soon after hiring he started adding benefits to our technical side. Irfan contributed to Alcala with his knowledge and experience. Therefore, Alcala was able to launch more and versatile drug panels to be analyzed. He has developed multiple drug testing panels for over 240 drugs that resulted in form of few publications including two patents. His work on quantification of vitamins in urine samples was quite challenging but all his work brought revenue and increased our business. Irfan definitely has thorough instrumental knowledge and also a good experimental and theoretical knowledge in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry as well protein biochemistry. His instrumental knowledge comprises of Mass Spectrometry, for example LCMS/MS, SFC, HPLC, GCMS/MS Q-TOF and ICP-MS as well as NMR spectroscopy and FTIR. He is excellent at trouble shooting, and daily operations and maintenance. Irfan is a very quick learner. He has also done COVID-19 nucleic acid and antibody testing implementation, validation and proficiency testing, Respiratory Pathogens testing utilizing different platforms (RT-PCR Luminex and ABI Fast 7500 systems), He also contributed BSL-2 Lab setup and experience, documentation. He is also good at effective use of different software and design of assays to analyze the acquired data. He has written validation reports and SOPs. I am sure that he will be benefical for any team. We are lucky to have him with our technical team.
