  APIOS project aims to provide a new solution to regenerate large bone defects using a bioactive coating of implant, it is a bioactive film made of natural biopolymers that can trap locally bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and accelerates bone regeneration. Collaboration in the maturation state of APIOS project: ► Design a 3D architectured polymeric scaffold mimicking a large bone defect, using 3D printing, in view of preliminary experiments. ► Performing all the experimental part to create bioactive coatings to post load them into the polymeric scaffold to accelerate bone regeneration. ► Contribution to establish a Business Model in view of the creation of a start-up company. ► Bibliographic search on the biodegradable polymers and ceramics used in bone regeneration and comparing their physical-chemical properties and studying the techniques used for the fabrication of polymeric scaffolds including conventional and printing techniques.
