Its been more than a decade since i graduated from the eMBA in Shipping & Logistics at CBS. However, I remain indebted to Ms Rosberg and the Blue MBA for the knowledge I gained when I was a student of this program. Irene Rosberg is widely recognised as commanding enormous respect throughout the maritime and logistics sectors internationally for her work in executive education, research in identifying future challenges for industry, and building global relationships. She has high-level contacts in many of the leading organisations in her field, including excellent professional relationships in Europe, in Asia including China, and in Latin America Currently, she is Director of the Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (The Blue MBA) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), she has been responsible for the design, development and co-ordination of The Blue MBA. On behalf of CBS, she has a fundamental role in building global relationships and networks within the maritime industry. She also promotes research identifying challenges and future issues for the maritime industry as a whole. She is a member of many international boards and committees. Based on her extensive international network and experience, she has been entrusted with major roles in varied maritime-related activities, and speaks at leading maritime events. In 2009 a survey showed that she was amongst the 20 most influential women in the shipping industry in Denmark. She is involved in several maritime-related research undertakings and research-based conferences where she draws on expertise from her wide maritime connections, both in terms of academic and industry input. Most recently she was appointed the lead partner for the newly initiated project for enhancing the management skills of the Danish Maritime Cluster. The Blue MBA under her guidance has been praised by shipping leaders as a key driver for the modernization of the maritime sector – the lynchpin of global trade. This was strongly underlined in early 2012, when the program won the prestigious Danish Maritime Prize for 2011, presented at a memorable ceremony in Copenhagen. Show less
