I have been teaching from Introductory Algebra to College Algebra (Pre-Calc) over 30 years. I believe that learning take place when we give many chances to learners to make choices, take chances, use the intuition, and adjust study habits. In Japanese, the purpose of schooling are to build three C's: Character, Content, and Connection. I implement alternative form of assessments techniques to learn more about how students strategically think to problem solve. I like to keep on learning to be innovative with my instruction and assessment techniques. One of my professional goals is to have a better understanding of how student learning and making sense of mathematics, something that applies in their life. I implement the use of technologies in order to make mathematics more engaging to students and to increase higher order thinking skills based on Bloom's Taxonomy and Common Core State Standard Math curriculum. I participated in Maricopa Summer Institute (MSI) in 2011 and will continue to MSI 2.0 advanced, research base. In MSI 2.0. I learned to interact, connect, and work together with reading colleague and Nursing colleague of Phoenix College, Dr. Sharon Mc Kee to recruit BNFP scholars to be more successful in taking HESI A2 exam, I constantly searching for ways to make mathematics relevant in life, sense-making, artistic, enjoyable, fun to learn. I wrote a couple teacher certification tests for Western Governor University (WGU) in 2010-2011. Show less
