Privileged to be a part of an autonomous assembly that is committed to empowering young people with the tools they need to become future leaders and ambassadors of democracy. YGA is more than just a space for policy and strategy making; it's a community where young people can learn about the importance of equitable administration, non-customary legislative practices, public speaking, and social issues. Through our programs and initiatives, we seek to instill a sense of enthusiasm in our youth and expand their perspectives on true democracy and parliamentary politics. Being a part of the Youth General Assembly has allowed me to witness firsthand the incredible potential of our youth. I am constantly inspired by the qualities they exhibit and their unwavering commitment to creating positive change in our society. Volunteering as a joint secretary has allowed me to play a role in helping our youth reach their full potential. Together, we are building a brighter future where young people can thrive as leaders, innovators, and ambassadors of democracy. Join us on this journey towards a better tomorrow. Show less

Started Madat Balochistan as a community driven non-profit that has evolved out of a grassroots effort to combat the devastation caused by Pakistan’s cataclysmic floods in 2022. What started as an attempt to help the flood affectees of Jaffarabad has now turned into a nationwide network of volunteers and facilitators. We have been able to serve 16000+ meals, provide 1700+ ration bags, provide more than 900 shelter supplies, and have set up 18 medical camps treating 5800+ patients. After Balochistan, we have expanded our flood relief efforts to Sindh as well, working especially to serve religious minority communities. We collect rigorous data to assess damaged households, pregnant women, and do family health assessments as well. Our work so far has been supported by independent fundraising where we have been able to raise $100,000 locally. We support already existing volunteers working on ground by providing them logistical support & emergency supplies. Show less

Assisting my Coach and Coordinator, I have worked closely with a team of 8 members to deliver top-notch language, writing, tech, documentation, and design-based projects on time and on budget. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we ensured that every project meets strict standards and deadlines. At Edopia, I honed my talents as an Early Years Facilitator in a Reggio (Italy-based approach) setting, with two years of hands-on classroom experience in the Early Years 2 and 3. As a Literacy & Numeracy Coach, Doodling instructor, and journalism Educator for Middle and Elementary Years, I helped students develop the skills they need to succeed in today's fast-paced world. I also worked closely with families to discuss student development and behavior, maintaining records and open communication about student social & emotional development. Show less

As I reflect back on my two-month internship at CDA Hospital, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the incredible experience I had the privilege to be a part of. Working alongside Dr. Mussarrat Afzal in the psych ward was nothing short of transformative. During my time there, I was exposed to a wide range of mental health issues, including schizophrenia, drug addiction, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, paranoia, and anxiety. Witnessing the courage and resilience of patients as they faced these challenges head-on was both humbling and inspiring. I was struck by the dedication and expertise of the staff at CDA Hospital, who worked tirelessly to provide the best care possible for their patients. Through their guidance and mentorship, I was able to learn valuable skills and techniques that I will carry with me throughout my career. But perhaps the most profound lesson I learned during my internship was the importance of compassion. The patients I worked with were not defined by their diagnoses or their struggles, but by their humanity and their capacity for hope and healing. It is a lesson that I will never forget and one that continues to motivate me to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental illness. Looking back on my time at CDA Hospital, I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a meaningful experience. It has shaped not only my career aspirations but also my outlook on life. And for that, I will always be grateful. Show less
