This programme has been built to give opportunities especially for the younger generations who is willing to understand the complex difficulties and take the lead in their locals for further enhancements of the Genba R&D opportunities, selected 15 employees throughout the company (normally selected among 200 candidates from 12 branches, which all were primarily qualified to go through the preliminary round) will be spending a dedicated 6 months time at our R&D as a researcher and be allocated an individual theme to learn the basics of how research and development scheme. The role was to organise the programme and consult among the R&d and the college students to safely go through this new environment and fully understand the complexity of R&D which they will now be the R&D Evangelist within their locals. Major Achievements - Successfully managed all candidates to fully 'graduate' the programme with all passing grade - 9/15 themes in average has been patented - all earned a chance attend national conference as a speaker for their themes - above all, set up Innovation College alum network to share and exchange their inter-department (not just within cylos) local ideas and concerns in a daily basis

Amongst the various learning, my role was to set up a course to effectively train the young generations where all the existing knowledge had its own vocabulary and rules due to the complex history, where this depot has merged 4 different depots back in 1980s. By using the framework of ISO9000s, successfully aligned the training scheme and same-vocabulary-bible to train the new comers within a year (for 12 types of fleets in 5 vehicles). Also, the ISO9000 documents has been submitted and approved, where it has been the 1st of a kind to achieve the title for Steam and Diesel Locos in Japan.
