I work in a dynamic restaurant environment serving locals and tourists alike. I have gained experience in providing excellent customer service and developed my time-management and organisation skills as I have to balance customer’s competing needs and the general upkeep tasks that keep things running smoothly. I was also regularly responsible for opening the restaurant in the morning and worked cohesively as part of a team to serve large functions. Participant in the Global Leadership programme organised in collaboration between Universitas 21 and Common Purpose.I conducted individual study on methods to step up in a globalised world to achieve change including how to work across hierarchies and challenge preconceptions. I attended weekly meetings with fellow participants from across the globe to consolidate our learning and share ideas.I then created an action plan with steps to take to reach a UN Sustainable Development Goal of my choice (sustainable production and consumption) and peer-reviewed another participant’s plan.
