  Invest South Tyneside is the Council's Inward Investment function, working to raise the profile of the borough to businesses and investors. Our aim is to work with businesses to locate in South Tyneside, achieve growth, create more jobs and develop the skills of existing workforces. The three key sectors for economic growth within South Tyneside are: - Advanced Manufacturing- ICT & Digital - Business Services Whilst we see these sectors providing the most growth for our area, we are open to working with businesses of any size across all sectors. Our remit includes supporting businesses already trading from within our borough to further invest and expand their operations and workforce. The services offered by the Invest South Tyneside team include, but are not limited to: - Searching for premises - Identifying sources of funding, and preparing applications - Recruiting and developing the workforce - Guidance on statutory services (i,.e. planning, business rates, etc) - Engaging with businesses regarding their skills needs in order to develop pathways of employment for young people
