Toni Powell, Wellbeing Speaker
I constantly use a story about Ingrid as a lesson in my workshops. This is the story and it happened a few years ago: During a day presenting to the staff at Profile magazine I kept hearing from those staff what an exceptional person Ingrid was. Person after person told me how special she was, how kind she was, how unique she was, how professional she was and what a great person she was. I was getting Ingrid envy - how must it be to know you were spoken about in this manner? A few weeks later Ingrid did an interview with me and I mentioned to her how deeply admired she was by the staff at Profile. Ingrid appeared surprised. Apparently many people hadn't yet communicated to her about how wonderful she is. I use the story to illustrate how important it is to let people know what you think when you admire them. Today I was reminded again of the story and decided to let you know, Ingrid, that I also continue to be moved by the way you treat people and the way you inspire trust. You also write great articles!
