Women in Finance NTNU Ålesund was founded in March 2021 by the undersigned and co-students. This initiative exists to inspire women to choose a career in finance for themselves, and provide female students at NTNU Ålesund with the knowledge and self esteem required to do so. Being the President of this organization was highly rewarding, and I am proud of what we achieved together. The best is yet to come, and I look forward to see what happens in the future. This position was an engagement directed by the university where I am enrolled as a student, NTNU Ålesund. The project involved planning of the start-up seminar for new students at The Department of International Business, and then implementing the scheduled program. In the last phase of the project, evaluation of the program was conducted, identifying successful moments as well as potential for improvement in the future. This event is the largest provided by the university on an annual basis.The project challenged me in several ways, and gave me experience in coordinating and logistic thinking both in the planning phase and when implementing the projected program. It gave me useful training in speaking in front of a greater audience, both in a solumn matriculation seremony and in teaching during casework. The project has given me a deeper understanding of the processes behind large events, and what resources are required to make them successful. Last, but not least, I would like to point out my motivation for taking on this project. Student welfare is close to my heart, and being able to establish a solid foundation for students upon their education is perceived to me as highly rewarding.
