Guided by a strong and sincere commitment to PAL’s mission, the Director will strategically develop and implement a detailed fundraising plan to support the agency’s evolution and growth. Major initiatives will include-• Major Gifts program, including prospect research capabilities; • Cultivation of donor relationships beyond the agency’s traditional donor base; • Building Board fundraising capacity; • Development and tracking of performance metrics and indicators for fundraising, including a dynamic, metric driven fundraising plan.The Director of Development is primarily responsible for identifying grant and funding opportunities, writing, submitting and tracking donor and grant proposals, managing and administering donor and grant responsibilities, working with the Senior Staff to solicit and maintain donor relationships. • Coordinates the Board and staff in the development of multi-year and annual resource development plans; develops a fundraising plan to annual budget goals for private support;• Develops and implements fundraising strategies for approaching and cultivating new sources of support including foundations, corporations and individuals;• Develops overall short and long-range plans for annual and sustained giving, sets goals and objectives to support a development plan for the organization, and manages the budget for all annual giving activities;
