16 ECTS (11 weeks) project with Dan Grandér's group at CCK, Karolinska Institutet. Project work involved functional analysis and characterization of certain long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in melanoma cells resistant to the BRAF inhibitor vemurafenib. 9 ECTS (5 weeks) project as a part of my Master's degree at Karolinska Institutet with Maria Arsenian Henriksson's group at MTC. The aim of this project was to examine and compare the metabolic profile, more specifically glycolysis and mitochondrial respiration, of differentiated versus undifferentiated neuroblastoma cells using the Seahorse Techonology. 9 ECTS (5 weeks) project as a part of my Master's degree at Karolinska Institutet with Maria Arsenian Henriksson's group at MTC. B.Sc. degree project at the Biomedical center of Iceland supervised by Margrét Ögmundsdóttir at Eiríkur Steingrímsson's group. This project was a collaboration with the laboratory of Matthias Willmans at EMBL in Hamburg, Germany. Used CRISPR/Cas9 to delete three amino acids in the dimerization domain of the transcription factor MITF, luciferase assay to determine the transcriptional activation potential of the mutant and confocal microscopy to determine the subcellular localization.
