In particular I worked on remote sensing projects, mapping and classifying Landsat satellite data for time-series studies of arctic vegetation. These included reindeer grazing studies, vegetation damage due to pollution and phenological changes in the arctic. I was also involved in EU-funded projects, where I was PI on two. At CIRA I worked on a Hurricane Tracking project, with the aim of improving Hurricane track forecasts. My role was to improve and re-run the tracker code on historic hurricane data from GEOS-satellites.
