    • Project Manager, Sourcing
      • Dec 2014 - Dec 2015

I joined the Sourcing department as one of the first employees in the newly established joint venture company which MHI Vestas Offshore was at this time. The first projects I managed were therefore focused on very strategic sourcing and supply chain decisions primarily in UK where the company had won is first major commercial order. As project manager I was responsible for a major manufacturing expansion project in UK incl. the early “make-buy” analysis, ongoing commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers, status reporting to C-level steerco and our CEO. Overall achievement - inhouse expansion of new storage, logistic and paint facility site. Another important part of the job was the UK supply chain plan/sourcing strategy. Here I was responsible for driving our supply chain localization efforts and develop specific local sourcing/supply chain plans in UK which included ongoing negotiations with strategic suppliers as well as UK government officials. One of the very specific outcomes was an asian wind turbine tower supplier that ended up establishing offshore tower production in UK. Show less
