  During my internship I primarily focussed on my own research on citizen participation and bottom-up initiatives in the town of Utrecht. While I worked at the office of BUITEN, the research was done for the KNHM, a network organisation that helps social initiatives. In cooperation with the city of Utrecht, we organized a network event with local politicians, civil servants and citizens/initiators to discuss the communication around citizen initiatives and participation.
