It gives me great pleasure to write a Personal Character Reference for India, whom I have known and watched growing up since her birth. As the eldest of three sisters, India instinctively masters nurturing and leadership characteristics. From a young age, India tirelessly engaged in challenging and strategic card and board-games, and I fondly remember her sometimes beating me at chess. I have admired India's ability to live and be schooled both in Germany and South Africa through her elementary school years - laying a solid foundation for a true global commuting and integrated EU and African citizen. I continue to be impressed by the achievements by India and my wish for her is that her professional dreams will be surpassed by her successes.

Nkosivile Madinga

I have known India for approximately 2 years. She was a student in my course, Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and later became the Head tutor for IMC. India is one of the most conscientious and hardworking student I have ever taught in my career. I find her to be a smart, thoughtful and wonderfully engaged student with a great deal of intellectual curiosity. She was not only my student. I had an opportunity to work with her as I have appointed her as the Head tutor for the module I was teaching. She was responsible for ensuring that each undergraduate student is allocated a tutor and the tutorial system works effectively, ensure that the academic roles of tutors fully support the course, liase with tutors to monitor the academic progress of students and take action where neccessary or where there is a cause for concern, monitor student attendance, and maintain accurate and comprehensive student records for the course. She performed these tasks competently and with commitment and ethusiasm. She demonstrated ability to work underpressure and to plan and organise successfully to meet tight deadlines. I recommend Idia with confidence and ethusiasm.

Tasked with various banking challenges, including market trading, analysing lapsed insurance contracts, and computing credit reserves. A team of us were tasked with developing and presenting an Artificial Intelligence solution towards eradicating poverty in South Africa. I was awarded the QEP Influencer Award.
