Fiction or factual, flowery or formal, whatever you need, I'm your gal. I believe that all writing is personal and tells a story, and it's my job to help you express your passions, explain your ideas, and create worlds. I'm interested in all kinds of projects with a cause or an idea I can get behind. If you're passionate, let's work together. Fiction or factual, flowery or formal, whatever you need, I'm your gal. I am currently responsible for writing and uploading entries for the upcoming book Bold Brave Wonder Women of Islington to a blog, which I also created using Squarespace. "#Bold, Brave, Wonder Women of Islington will be a collection of inspiring stories of historical and contemporary Islington women, chosen and told by the women of the borough. They might be famous or previously unknown, chosen because they are bold, brave, and wonderful – politicians, activists, foster carers, artists, environmentalists, mothers, educators, and more! The most inspiring stories will be chosen to be published in the book. The stories of all the nominated women will be shared online." Show less

    • Co-Founder and Administrative Director
      • Aug 2020 - Apr 2022

I co-founded Our Church Too as primarily a story sharting platform with a friend in 2020. Since then, it has expanded into an online community that shares stories in many different ways, facilitates workshops, and is open to even further expansion. Our team has grown from two to six, and I am excited to see where it goes in the future. A lot of my writing is on the site, but my primary roles as editing our podcast series The Oral Tradition, and having an overarching mission-related role, keeping our outflow of work on track and coming up with new innovations to keep us fresh and exciting. When I first arrived in Amsterdam I was keen to get to know the city and pour into the community. A good way to do this was through dog walking! Not only was this a fun way to spend time, but it was a small taste of what it would be like to work for myself, keep books, and manage my time well. I have experience tutoring lots of young children and teens in a variety of different subjects including mathematics, coding, and English literature. This was not only a period of growing my own knowledge in order to help others, but also learning how to communicate clearly and compassionately. Whilst working at Flying Tiger, I was responsible both for check-outs and assisting with visual merchandising. I not only learned about interacting with customers and communicating with different people, but I also explored the importance of time management and organisation. This was a fun role with a high level of team spirit and included different daily challenges which grew me both personally and professionally. During my work experience, I found out how consultancies work as well as sitting in on a number of meetings regarding business plans of various charities, showing my concentration, speaking, and listening skills. I also wrote up some text for a website, which meant I could practice my journalistic skills and develop my computer skills.
