I proposed a strategy for raising smokers' awareness and deploying collection points for cigarette butts in the public space, and development of an operational action plan. I carried out a diagnosis of the problem caused by cigarette butts in public spaces, based on the literature and quantitative and qualitative studies on this subject In the meantime, I did a benchmark on the actions implemented by other local authorities, the solutions for the collection and treatment of cigarette butts so as to draft a charter concerning the installation of ashtrays in public spaces for institutional and private actors.
