  Completed another two and a half month internship with IDEAS after returning from my studies in the UK, this time working under the Development department. This department is concerned with fundraising activities, particularly for IDEAS'​ many charity projects. One notable task was was helping organize a photo exhibition at the New Zealand High Commission to help raise money for IDEAS Academy, a school for refugee children in Pudu. Mostly helped with organizing events, namely one day conference on Open Data, which was attended by influential members of Malaysian society (with the guest of honor being YB Datuk Paul Low, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department). Also wrote an speech for IDEAS Chief Executive Wan Saiful on the benefits of TPPA agreement for Malaysia, which he duly presented at the American Embassy. Worked under Political Economy Department.   Worked for History department under renowned scholar Shafique Virani. Work was remote and internet based. Work consisted of studying manuscripts from the early modern Indian subcontinent, and verifying the locations mentioned in them. This was part of a larger project to understand the extent of communications and travel in the early to modern Islamic world. During my last few months there, I also worked with memoirs written by Muslim saints written during the Great Game in 19th century India.
