#ShePersisted is the only global initiative dedicated to tackling gendered disinformation and online abuse against women in politics through a unique three- pronged strategy. We work with regulators, activists, the media, and disinformation experts to understand digital harms against women in politics and the role that technology plays in amplifying these vicious attacks. We support women political leaders as they navigate disinformation online. We advocate for better digital platform standards.

I was particularly involved in the Digital Policy Lab and Digital Analysis Unit, aiding ethnographic research into far-right online hate and disinformation in the US following the Trump presidency and Capitol insurrection. Supported Projects:• Researching how disinformation threatens democracy in the US and Europe• Researching the tactics used by the Far Right to recruit and mobilise online• Understanding the spread and impact of misogynistic hate speech online• Understanding the spread of the QAnon Conspiracy Theory• Delivering digital citizenship and education programmes to young people in the UK
